Our Commitment

Haidar Tech Solutions is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA — the same accessibility standard required of Government of Canada web properties.

Accessibility is not an afterthought here. Semantic HTML, keyboard navigability, visible focus indicators, and colour contrast that meets WCAG AA minimums are built into the design system and applied to every page and component.

Conformance Status

This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We conduct self-evaluation against the standard during development and address any identified barriers before release.

Known current limitations, if any, are listed below. If you encounter a barrier not listed here, please report it using the contact information in the Feedback section.

Technical Specifications

This website relies on the following technologies for conformance with WCAG 2.2:

  • HTML5
  • CSS (including CSS custom properties)
  • WAI-ARIA
  • JavaScript (ECMAScript)

These technologies are relied upon for conformance. The website is built with Next.js (App Router) and rendered as static HTML, which ensures content is accessible without JavaScript for users of assistive technologies that do not execute scripts.

Accessibility Features

  • Semantic HTML throughout: <main>, <nav>, <header>, <footer>, <article>, <section>, and heading hierarchy.
  • All interactive elements are keyboard-navigable with a visible focus indicator (emerald outline, 2px offset).
  • All images include descriptive alt text; decorative images use alt="".
  • Colour contrast meets WCAG AA minimums: 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text.
  • Colour is not used as the sole means of conveying information.
  • All icon-only buttons include aria-label attributes.
  • Form fields are associated with labels via for/id pairs.
  • Scroll-triggered animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query — motion is disabled entirely for users who have requested it.
  • Dark mode is available via a toggle, but the site defaults to the system preference and does not force a colour scheme.
  • Minimum tap target size of 44×44px on all interactive elements.
  • Page language is declared: <html lang="en">.

Known Limitations

The Calendly scheduling widget is a third-party embed that we do not control. Its accessibility conformance depends on Calendly's own implementation. If you need to book a call and the widget presents a barrier, please use the contact form or email directly at ahaidar97@outlook.com.

Assessment Approach

Haidar Tech Solutions assesses conformance through:

  • Self-evaluation during development using browser developer tools, keyboard-only navigation, and colour contrast checkers.
  • Testing with screen readers (VoiceOver on macOS/iOS).
  • Review against the WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria.
